That's a good question though. We don't exactly have proof, but it's happened enough times by now it's pretty safe to guess. I've been wondering the same thing myself, it's...why I'm trying to find a connection. It's a dumb thing to worry about, but if we could pinpoint those people before Thursday, it could maybe help us know what to look for in the long run.

...one of the things we've noticed lately is that the other person who winds up outside is usually tied to the dorm of one of our killers. Kon was Winter and so was Rupert. Caiman was fall and...we do have a fall unaccounted for. I know that Caiman was responsible for Molly but...I've been wondering if he woke up and then was possessed or something changed. Like it wasn't meant to happen and then it did.
So...I'm not sure yet. We'd have to figure out how the weekly killers are working.

[ she pauses a moment to think on that theory, see if it ties with what she remembers. She woke up in the SUB the week that Lan Wanji died, who was killed by...Rupert and Byleth, right? so, yeah, that tracks. ]
Well, we did get those notes in our lockers that said they just...start thinking they have to kill someone, right? And that it starts on Thursday? Maybe the killer gets picked out on Monday like the sleeping people do, they just don't know it until they start doing the whole murder thing.

Not every killer is compelled to kill. That's just a special case by case thing, though I'd like to know if that's picked early, too. That's another good question. If it's something predetermined and people don't know they'll be affected...that's pretty bad.
Hmmm...aren't there those scripts about us somewhere? Where it's like, written out how we should act and stuff? Maybe that's what's, uh, predetermining stuff! And it's whoever's writing those thingies behind it.

That's a possibility, too. The papers people find on those field trips and also the documents we can buy from the dorm heads. They all have to mean something. So we should look at those more carefully, too.
Summer's bought all of the ones available from Annie, right? And you guys have seen the other notes that have come from the field trips? Maybe that's something you as a dorm can do together, too.
