It wasn't very nice of them to lie to you, now was it? Even if they thought they were well-meaning. That's what people are like, Mabel. Selfish, cruel beings who only care about their own interests... All this talk about the greater good, finishing the story... That's all a lie too. They care only about themselves.
Although, everyone who was dead came back, so maybe it's not entirely inaccurate. But still. That wouldn't have had to happen if they had been honest with you.
